About ANDREA R. WILLIAMS
Andrea René Williams has loved Gospel music her entire life. It wasn’t just her passion for God and her talent for music that inspired her to launch, Live For Hymn. It was a prophetic calling.
Years before she felt the nudge to start the business, the leader of an internationally-known worship choir prophesied these words with her: “I speak even into your life that you shall reach a new spiritual level in Christ, and that your hunger for him will increase ever the more. And because you have been a woman of integrity and not just put your "stamp of approval" on projects to be "politically correct" God shall promote you within the industry. And even those that have tried to stop you and hinder your progress God is now removing them and strategically placing you in a position to invoke change in the industry, for it has been your desire that the music industry be one of integrity, and that artists would begin to actually live the lives that they sing about, and yes, you've even been frustrated because some you have met have not had the character to match the words in which they sing. God says that you are a changer, a changer, and I'm elevating you to heavenly places.” Although that prophecy was handed down to Ms. Williams long ago – and she received subsequent prophesies that mirrored this one - the call remained within her until the time was right to build the ministry called Live For Hymn.
Andrea is an award-winning Gospel artist and former sacred music publicist. Her start in Gospel music began as a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church’s Young Adult Fellowship Ensemble where Richard Smallwood was her accompanist and assistant choir director. Since that time, she’s studied under other Gospel greats such as Ricky Dillard, Byron Cage and Earnest Pugh. She began her time as a music industry professional at the GRAMMY Awards AKA The Recording Academy’s Washington, DC Chapter. During her 8 years there as Project Manager, not only did she help to bring legends of Gospel music to the National Trustee Board, including Richard Smallwood and Donald Lawrence, but she made the chapter the fastest growing Chapter in the history of the GRAMMY Awards. The two-time Rhythm of Gospel Award Nominee for Gospel Radio Promotions & Marketing Group of the Year is primarily known as an entrepreneur and Gospel music publicist of her Gospel music publicity firm, Tehillah Enterprises, having represented artists such as Gladys Knight, Pastor Charles Jenkins and the late Andrae Crouch. A summa cum laude graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in Music Business, as well as a vocalist, musician, songwriter, arranger, producer and engineer, Andrea is also a 7-time WAMMIE Award Nominee. She re-released her first book, Live The Life You Sing About: How To Live With Integrity In The Gospel & Christian Music Industry in 2017 and its accompanying Live The Life You Sing About Workbook in late 2021. A current Worship Leader and Minister of Music at a parish in Southern Maryland, she launched her faith-based music consulting firm, Live For Hymn, in June 2026.
